Ingredients

  • 1 oz gin
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier, Cointreau, or triple sec
  • 1 oz Lillet blanc
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • About 1/2 teaspoon Pastis or absinthe
  • Lemon or orange twist, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, Grand Marnier, Lillet blanc, and lemon juice.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake until well chilled.
  3. Swirl the Pastis or absinthe in a chilled coupe glass and discard the excess.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
  5. Garnish with a twist of lemon or orange.
