Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup oats (coarser is preferred, but rolled oats can be used)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 3/4 cup whisky
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl or jug, combine the oats and water, stirring well. Cover and let it soak for 24 hours.
  2. Strain the oats, ensuring to extract all the liquid using a fine tea strainer or muslin cloth.
  3. Mix the honey into the oat liquid.
  4. Stir in the whisky.
  5. Add the cream if desired and stir to combine.
