Ingredients

  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 oz. dried hibiscus flowers
  • 3 oz. hibiscus tea
  • 2 oz. tequila
  • 1 oz. rosemary syrup
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1 sprig rosemary, for garnish

Instructions

  1. To prepare the rosemary syrup, combine sugar, rosemary, and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Let it cook until the sugar has dissolved, approximately 3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool, then strain the syrup.
  2. For the hibiscus tea, bring the dried hibiscus flowers and 1 cup water to a boil over high heat in a small saucepan. Let it cook for 3 minutes, then allow it to cool before straining.
  3. To make the cocktail, combine the hibiscus tea, tequila, rosemary syrup, lime juice, and 1/2 cup water in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish the cocktail with a sprig of rosemary for a delightful visual touch.
