Ingredients

  • 1/4 peach, sliced (plus more for garnish)
  • 2 basil leaves
  • 1/2 ounce brown sugar simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. In a bar shaker, add the sliced peach and gently muddle to release the juices.
  2. Add the basil leaves to the shaker and muddle gently to release the flavors.
  3. Pour in the brown sugar simple syrup, lemon juice, and bourbon, and add a handful of ice.
  4. Cover the shaker and shake well until the drink is thoroughly chilled.
  5. Fill a glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Optionally, double strain if less peach pulp is desired.
  6. Garnish with peach slices and basil leaves.
