A bold and complex Scotch-based cocktail with toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, and a hint of absinthe, topped with a frothy egg white.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz blended malt whisky (Monkey Shoulder recommended)
- 1 1/2 oz toasted coconut syrup
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz curaçao (Pierre Ferrand recommended)
- 1 fresh egg white (pasteurized if preferred)
- 2 dashes absinthe
- 1 tsp peated single malt Scotch whisky (Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse
Instructions
- Chill a large coupe glass and rinse it with the peated malt whisky, discarding the excess.
- In a shaker, combine the remaining ingredients and shake without ice until foamy.
- Add ice to the shaker, shake again to chill, then strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
