Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 3 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces Aperol
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce almond simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Tajin, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer sugar and water until the sugar has dissolved, then remove from heat. Stir in almond extract and orange water, and let the syrup cool.
  2. Fill two glasses with crushed ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Aperol, lime juice, and almond syrup, then fill with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Strain the margaritas into the prepared glasses.
