Ingredients

  • 1 oz silver tequila
  • 3/4 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz orange liqueur
  • 1/2 oz agave nectar
  • 2 drops almond extract (less than 1/8 tsp)
  • 1 1/2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz spiced rum

Instructions

  1. Combine the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, agave nectar, almond extract, and pineapple juice in a tall shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the contents over a lowball or margarita glass filled with crushed or pellet ice.
  4. Optionally, salt the rim of the glass.
  5. Pour the spiced rum on top as a floater.
  6. Serve with a garnish such as a lime wedge, fresh mint, or pineapple spear.
